Headmaster Letter

Dear North Phoenix Prep Families,

Wow!  The Fall Festival was a huge success!  A thousand thanks to our wonderful PSO volunteers, student volunteers, and faculty volunteers who made this special community event possible.  Special thanks goes to Mrs. Sally Rochotte for serving as the point person for this whole multi-faceted project.

Evenings like these are truly special because they remind us that we're all sailing together in the same ship, and that being intellectually, morally, and aesthetically alive definitely includes a healthy dose of fun!  I am so grateful to our whole community for making this an evening to remember, and I am so proud to be a Gladiator!

In addition, we enjoyed a successful conference and project week!  Many parents and students have told me how appreciative they are for this unique opportunity to engage in thoughtful self-reflection and genuine dialogue.  The credit for this successful week really goes to our teachers, who meaningfully mentor our students every day, and to the students themselves, for their pursuit of self-knowledge and ever-greater degrees of virtue.

On another note, I'd like to share a recent article from the Thomas B. Fordham Institute titled "The Lasting Value of a Classical Liberal Arts Education."  The article, authored by our own Dr. Dan Scoggin, is well worth your time.

With Devotion,

Headmaster Weinhold
