Parking Lot Congestion

Wednesday November 23 is VIP Day at Archway North Phoenix. We anticipate this will add to traffic congestion at pick up and drop off on the Prep side of the campus.

Parking Lot Resurfacing

The church will be resurfacing sections of the parking lot over the next three weeks. This will have a significant impact on pick up and drop off for the entire campus of North Phoenix Prep and Archway North Phoenix. Please refer to this schedule and map to see which area(s) will be done on each day.

Please plan extra time for drop off and pick up due to revised routes and restricted parking at times.
Beginning Tuesday Morning, November 15th at 6am, crews from Ace Asphalt will arrive to seal coat either the street or parking lot at Dream City Church. It will be necessary that all vehicles be removed from the designated areas prior to that time. Please make arrangements in advance and park in an area not immediately affected by this project.  North Phoenix Prep drop off and pick up traffic patterns will be affected on the following dates:
The RED section is closed at 6am on Monday 11/28 and is opened by 2pm on Tuesday 11/29  The ORANGE section is closed at 6am on Wednesday 11/30 and is opened by 2pm on Thursday 12/1

Do not drive, park, or walk on the fresh seal coating until the traffic cones and/or barricades have been removed. The seal coating will splatter onto your vehicle and damage your shoes and clothing. It is very difficult to remove. Ace Asphalt will not repair damage to vehicles, driveways, carpeting, clothing etc.

Headmaster Letter

Dear North Phoenix Prep Families,

This past Friday we honored the men and women in our Armed Forces by observing Veteran's Day.

On this important occasion, I remembered my grandfather, Colonel Frank Leland.  The Colonel fought in the trenches during World War One, where a German soldier shot his helmet clean off his head.  It was a close call, but the bullet passed through without so much as grazing him.  He later served in the Corps of Engineers on the Pacific front during World War Two.  Between the wars, he found himself stationed as a guard for the U.S. Embassy in Managua, Nicaragua.  The story goes that he noticed a beautiful young senorita who was sunbathing near the embassy (my grandmother), and they struck up a friendship.  When he returned to the U.S. via San Francisco, he discovered that my grandmother had immigrated there, and the rest is history.  My mother tells me that the Colonel was a career Army man and that even on his death bed, he professed, "I could be called up at any time."

The Colonel, and all those like him who have risked their lives for the protection of our freedom, deserves our deep gratitude and praise.  My sincerest thanks and admiration goes out to those in our own community who have made this sacrifice.  Your selfless service to our country is a model of virtue that our students can and should follow, wherever their careers lead them.

With Devotion,
Headmaster Weinhold
