Headmaster Letter

Dear North Phoenix Prep Families,

What a joy it is to be in a close-knit community like North Phoenix Prep!  In so many conversations with our high school students, I have heard them speak about the deep friendships that they have developed over the years.  During that time, they have become fast friends, and our older students are now mentoring their younger peers in that same tradition of camaraderie and esprit de corps.  As one high school student put it last week, "We are like family to each another."

This kind of community is possible because one of our identifying characteristics at GreatHearts is that we are local in many places.  This means that we do not run big box schools with thousands upon thousands of students.  Instead, we run neighborhood schools that are intentionally small so that we can cultivate an authentic community imbued with the joy of friendship.  We definitely desire to serve all of the students on our waitlist, but we think it's better to open more schools than to open larger schools so that our local communities remain strong.

Thanks so much to all of our students for investing in a community of friendship and joy at our Academy.  They are truly proof that, even from an early age, life is so much better when we live it together!

With Devotion,
Headmaster Weinhold
