Winter Sports Season

WINTER SPORTS ARE OFFICIALLY UNDERWAY!

HS Sports Note & Reminder –
  • HS Coed Soccer – Try-outs for HS Soccer has been postponed until further notice. Please pay close attention to the website and the daily announcements for more info.
  • HS Coed Basketball – Try-outs will be on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday at NPX from 3:30-5:00 pm

MS Sports Reminders –

Try-outs for MS Softball, Baseball, Girls Soccer, and Boys Soccer will be as follows:
  • MS Softball – Tuesday and Wednesday at Roadrunner Park (36th St. & Cactus) from 4:00-6:00 pm
  • MS Baseball – Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at Roadrunner Park (36th St. & Cactus) from 4:00-6:00 pm
  • MS Girls Soccer – Tuesday and Wednesday at NPX from 3:30-5:00 pm
  • MS Boys Soccer – Wednesday at NPX from 3:30-5:00 pm. Special note for boys soccer: Due to not meeting on Halloween next week on Mon. the 7th and Wed. the 9th the meetings will be try-outs as well. Official practices will start on Mon. Nov. 14.

Gladiator Cross Country Earn NPX 1st State Qualifications

Unaffected by race day temperatures of 93 degrees, the North Phoenix Prep Cross Country team made school history with numerous exceptional performances.
With a third place finish in the Division 4, Section 1 state-qualifying meet, the North Phoenix Prep boys cross country team became the first team in the program’s history to earn a spot in the prestigious state meet.

NPX National Honor Society members volunteered Sunday Oct 30 at ComfyCozy for Chemo, preparing thousands of growth charts which will be donated to local hospitals for children with cancer.

Simply click on this link, type the name of your employer in the “Matching Gifts” tab, and hit submit to find out if your company offers a Corporate Matching Gifts Program. If your company does have a Matching Gifts program, please submit the appropriate paperwork to your Human Resources department. Congratulations to our HS XC team!

Congratulations to our HS XC team that despite the heat on Friday made school history with numerous exceptional performances. Congratulations to Jordan Black, Nick Pandelakis, Ben Laverman and Rocco Berbetti who earned podium honors for their outstanding races. Not to be outdone by the boys, sophomore Sabrina Kloft earned an individual qualification for the state championships. Next Saturday, Sabrina will become the first North Phoenix Prep athlete to race in the girls state championship meet. Go Sabrina!
Come cheer on our team at the State Meet this Saturday, November 5th at 12pm – Cave Creek Golf Course, 19th Ave and Greenway Rd.

Picture Re-Take Day Mon Oct 31

Picture re-takes are on Monday, October 31st. To order portraits or re-takes, students must have need a completed order form including payment and if getting re-takes return their original photo package.

Softball Try-outs Tues, Nov 1 & Wed, Nov 2

Any middle school girls interested in softball - try outs will be next Tuesday and Wednesday from 4pm - 6pm at Roadrunner Park. Please make sure you bring a glove and plenty of water.

7th Grade Field Trip Wed Nov 2

7th Grade field trip to the Desert Botanical Gardens THIS WEDNESDAY! No paper permission slips will be distributed.  If you have not yet done so, please complete your child's field trip permission form online TODAY!

Student's please make sure to bring a water bottle for this trip.

High School Social Friday Nov 4

High schoolers: Happy Fall, Y'all! Your fall social is next Friday, November 4th in the H building. Activities include donut eating contest, corn hole, ping pong, and the 2nd annual LIP SYNCH BATTLE! Bring your A-game and sign up for the lip synch battle on the 506 door. Tickets are $10 to the black box in the front office. See you there!

Homework Survey

Dear North Phoenix Prep Families,

Homework is an essential part of our school culture because it reserves class time for instruction, discussion, dialogue, and the collective pursuit of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty. Our intention is that homework should be a time of quiet concentration in which each of our students can truly make their studies their own.

I want to hear directly from the students about how that's going, so I have created an online survey for them to complete (see the link below). Please have your student(s) complete this survey at your earliest convenience, and please encourage candor as s/he completes this survey. Student feedback matters, and it can help me in my role as mentor and coach to the teachers if I receive honest information.

Each submission is completely anonymous. Please submit one survey per student. This survey will remain open until Friday, November 4th.
