Drachma Wars - Results

Thank you to all who donated to the Greater Good fund through the Drachma Wars. The students of Maryvale Prep and Teleos Prep will benefit from our community's generosity. Even though the student senate is still counting coins, we estimate we raised approximately $3000. Thank you for helping us crush our goal of $1500.

North Phoenix Prep students and faculty would like to thank Mrs. Young for suggesting the idea of the Drachma Wars. The entire community had so much fun, we have planned to make it a tradition!

Tax Credit Goal Met! North Phoenix Prep “Plus One Day”

Dear North Phoenix Community,

We would like to celebrate our community’s success in meeting our Tax Credit Goal for 2015! Thank you to everyone who participated in bringing in the target by August 15th.

On Friday, April 22nd we will celebrate our collective achievement by allowing students to have a dress-down day. The best way to describe it is to think of it as a “Jeans Day.” We believe the dress code below will allow all students to enjoy a more casual dress code without anyone needing to purchase anything new.

Students are of course permitted to wear uniforms. For those who would like an alternative, we have the following guidelines. All attire must be free of inappropriate logos or messages.

  • School Uniforms or denim jeans (no tear or holes)
  • No shorts, sweatpants, pajama bottoms, athletic or yoga pants, or leggings

  • No T-Shirt or Sweatshirt except for Gladiator spirit wear shirt or sweatshirt.
  • Students may wear a non-dress code sweater, polo (including the uniform polo) or dress shirt
  • All shirts must be modest, loose-fitting and in good condition (no holes or tears). No sleeveless shirts, midriffs, tank tops or camisoles

  • Close-toe shoes (tennis shoes, casual shoes, flats or boots) are all acceptable
  • No slippers, open-toed footwear or shoes with heels above 2”

  • No hats, bandanas or sunglasses may be worn at school

When in doubt, our goal is simply to honor the spirit of the day, not to overly legislate it. Please note that we may send students home if theyare out of compliance with the guidelines above. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Topper

Middle School Football Summer Training

The first Middle School Football practice is not until Wednesday, August 10, but we have two great summer opportunities. Both are optional but highly recommended.
  • NPX OTA (North Phoenix Prep Organized Team Activities) will be from 6-7:30 PM Tuesday, May 31 through Friday, June 3 (4 days) at Venturoso Park, 14425 N. 32ndStreet (across the street from NPX’s future campus). NPX OTA introduces players to the form running, stretching, agilities, basic drills, games, and nutrition that prepares them throughout the summer for the football season.and nutrition that prepares them throughout the summer for the football season.
  • NPX Training Camp is from 6-7:30 PM Monday, August 1 through Thursday, August 4 (4 days) on the North Phoenix Prep football field. Training Camp reviews things learned in the OTA while introducing players to offensive plays and defensive fronts.
  • The cost is $70 per player per week, and a t-shirt is included with going to one or both events. Players need to wear white, school-appropriate t-shirts; athletic shorts; and athletic footwear (running shoes will work, but if purchasing cleats buy black/white/gray/red and/or yellow- school colors). Players also need to bring water bottles. To register for the camps click here.
